Tie one on... for charity
Fall 2009
A special thank you to all our customers who bought gorgeous silk ties this fall. Through the 'Tie One on for Charity' campaign alone, E.R. Fisher raised over $1200 for United Way / Centraide Ottawa. It has truly been a privilege to support an organization as honourable as the United Way.
The United Way/Centraide invests in human service programs - programs that enhance the quality of life and encourage positive growth. Campaigns raise money for local groups that address community issues and problems, In 2008, the Ottawa campaigns focussed on these impact areas – enhancing the quality of life of seniors, reducing barriers and increasing participation for people with disabilities, strengthening individuals and families in times of need and crisis, reducing barriers and increasing engagement for new Canadians and immigrants; strengthening agency, neighbourhood and community capacity development and promoting healthy development for children and youth.
